Cristina Valadas
Cristina Valadas was born in Porto in 1965. She graduated in Fine Arts - Painting at ESBAP, now the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. She has a postgraduate degree in Textile Design. She is a painter and illustrator.
She has exhibited collectively and individually since the 1980s in galleries such as Galeria Fernando Santos, Galeria António Prates, Galeria S. Bento, and Galeria João Lagoa, and has participated in international contemporary art fairs. She has received awards such as the Almada Negreiros Prize in 1997, the Maluda Prize in 2000 and the National Illustration Prize in 2007.
